Zim 3D Prints — Frequently Asked Questions

Are your products handmade or made to order?
Yes. We 3D-print every item to order, and many are hand-finished or hand-painted. Because each piece is made individually, minor layer lines and small variations are normal and part of what makes every item one of a kind.

What material do you print with?
Most of our products are printed in PLA or PETG, both durable, widely used 3D printing plastics. The specific material for each item is listed in the product details.

Do your items contain nickel or other metals?
Some products include metal hardware (keychain hooks, ear wires, clasps), and in many cases we don't verify the exact metal composition. If you have a known metal sensitivity, check the product description for details, or reach out to us before ordering.

How should I care for my 3D-printed item?
Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid the dishwasher, microwave, and prolonged direct sunlight or heat; PLA can soften or warp in high temperatures. Handle painted items gently to preserve the finish.

Are your products safe to use with fire, heat, or hot beverages?
Only if specifically stated. Items like incense holders are designed for careful use with an open flame; always follow the safety guidance on that product's page. Can holders and similar drinkware accessories are intended for cold beverages only unless noted otherwise.

What if my item includes magnets?
Some products contain small magnets. Keep these away from children and pets; if swallowed, magnets can cause serious injury requiring immediate medical attention. Check individual product pages for specific magnet warnings.

We currently only ship within the US

What's your return or exchange policy?

Can I request a specific color for a "mystery" item?
No. Mystery and random-color items are assigned at the time of printing/packing and can't be requested or guaranteed. This is part of the fun (and the pricing) of these listings.
